History of In2Care Mosquito Control System

In2Care has been registered as a private limited company in 2011 and was founded by a team of academics from the Wageningen University and seasoned business professionals with experience in product development and marketing.
In its start-up phase, In2Care received support from the entrepreneurship organizations VNO-NCW and Start Life Wageningen (Nijmegen Business Challenge grant & Pre-Seed grant). In 2011 and 2012, In2Care operated its research and product development with financial support from the from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (Grand Challenge Innovation grant) and the UBS Optimus Foundation (Innovation grant). In 2012, In2Care was awarded a large research grant from the European Union (Framework 7 Health grant), as coordinator of a SME research project aiming to develop novel malaria mosquito control tools.
In2Care currently has 8 employees and has successfully developed and launched its first low-cost mosquito control product (the In2Care® Mosquito Trap) for the control of mosquitoes that can transmit Dengue and Chikungunya. We have established a high-capacity production line and international distribution channels. We are also developing traps for Culex mosquitoes and novel products for malaria vectors with which we will expand our product portfolio.
