That’s life in today’s DIY world where you can find instructions for doing anything. Don’t try DIY: Cockroach Control The Question is why not? The reasons for not trying to get rid of cockroaches yourself are as follows: 1. Problems roaches will cause Cockroaches are often linked to unclean houses. They are considered to be unpleasant and create anxiety to most people. They will cause damage to food, books wall paper and spread sickness to people and animals. 2. The DIY effectiveness To be effective you have to correctly identify the species infesting your home, and then know which baits or sprays or effective against the roaches found. It’s also important to know how to use those products, where to place them, how much to use and how often those products should be used to get rid of the infestation. Often the online recommended substances have not been approved for use in homes by the EPA and only address those roaches you see, not the eggs or hundreds that that are living in the walls. 3. DIY potential Cost Knowing which products to use can be difficult and you will find yourself spending a lot of time and money on things that are ineffective home remedies. And during that time you’re working on the problem with ineffective products the infestation could worsen, which will cost you even more in the long run. 4. DIY potential Hazards There are guidelines on the labels of pesticides that should be followed when used by anyone. Those guidelines help users know what to use, how much to used, and where you can use it among other things. Most homeowners don’t really read the labal and don’t use those pesticides correctly. When used incorrectly, these products will be ineffective in controlling the pest you’re going after and even create safety issues may arise. Furthermore, like food there is a used by date and it may not show on the labels. Letting these products sit allows the carrying agents and active ingredients to separate. This either makes the product less effect, turn it into a repellant or get the active ingredient to become concentrated which makes it less safe. Products you get from retail stores only have products that have active ingredients that have come off their patent. That means those active ingredients are at least 10 years old and move likely 20 years old. During those years literally 10s of thousands of new, more effecting and safer products have be put in use for professional Pest Control Operators.
